Most autism services focus on the child. We focus on the caregiver because without a supported parent, services for the child aren’t sustainable. Our model addresses caregiver burnout directly by providing practical, in-home support that families can’t access through traditional systems. It’s a complementary, not duplicative, approach that fills a critical gap.
Families are selected based on demonstrated caregiver need, caregiving intensity, and household stress factors. We prioritize families facing high supervision demands or safety concerns. Services are provided regardless of ability to pay, ensuring equitable access.
We use caregiver self-assessments, service utilization tracking, and satisfaction surveys to measure reductions in stress and burnout. We also track household stability indicators and ongoing family feedback. These metrics allow us to demonstrate measurable, funder-relevant outcomes.
We intentionally scale responsibly. Our pilot serves a defined cohort of families, with expansion planned in phases as funding allows. This ensures service quality while building a model that can grow across San Bernardino County and eventually Southern California.
Yes. Our sustainability plan includes diversified funding through foundations, corporate partners, individual donors, and in-kind support. We’ve designed our program to be cost-effective, scalable, and supported by outcome data that strengthens renewal funding.
All funds are tracked by program category, with clear internal controls and fiscal oversight. Services are delivered through vetted providers, and expenses are reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with program goals and funder requirements.
Therapies are critical, but they are ineffective if caregivers are overwhelmed or burned out. By stabilizing the home and supporting the caregiver, we create the conditions necessary for therapies and services to succeed. Supporting caregivers strengthens every other intervention.
Our services are intentionally non-clinical and non-duplicative. We address practical, everyday needs that are rarely funded or provided elsewhere, making our work complementary to existing medical, educational, and therapeutic services.
Our goal is not dependency but stability. Families receive services during critical periods to prevent burnout, and we work toward sustainable routines and community connections. Many families transition out with improved resilience and capacity.
By preventing caregiver burnout, we reduce family crisis, stabilize households, and support healthier long-term outcomes for children. This model creates generational impact by strengthening families today while redefining how caregivers are supported over time.
Our greatest challenge is meeting growing demand while maintaining quality. Funding allows us to expand responsibly, serve families consistently, and sustain the infrastructure needed for impact.
Success means a stable, scalable program serving families across San Bernardino County, strong outcome data demonstrating reduced caregiver burnout, and a model that can be replicated in other communities.
We’re seeking investment to directly fund in-home caregiver support services that prevent burnout and strengthen families raising autistic children. Your support will create immediate relief and long-term impact.
